Manufacturing Engineer

Job Details: Job Location: Georgia Plant - McDonough, GA 30253, Position Type: Full Time, Brava Roof Tile is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, productivity, quality, and safety for McDonough, GA plant. This position will analyze current production processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead projects that increase efficiency, reduce waste, improve product consistency, and support operational excellence. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and implement sustainable process improvements. Duties &

Analyze existing manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop, implement, and validate process improvements that increase productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency. Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment-related process issues and identify root causes. Monitor production performance and key process metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, downtime, variation, and production costs. Design and optimize equipment layouts, production flow, and manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process specifications. Conduct process trials, testing, data collection, and analysis to validate proposed improvements. Partner with Operations and Maintenance to support equipment installations, upgrades, startups, and process changes. Evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment for compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards. Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate corrective or preventive actions. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to process, quality, or production concerns. Prepare reports and communicate process performance, project updates, recommendations, and results to leadership. Support new product introductions, equipment changes, and manufacturing scale-up activities as needed. Identify opportunities for automation, process controls, and technology improvements. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to use data to identify root causes and develop practical solutions. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement principles. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with production employees, technical teams, and leadership. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other manufacturing or engineering technology. Knowledge of process engineering, data analysis, and process improvement tools. Experience with CAD and/or AutoCAD preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or similar continuous improvement methodologies preferred. Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required. 5+ years' experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or a similar manufacturing environment preferred. Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, process improvements, and production troubleshooting preferred. Experience with CAD and/or AutoCAD preferred.
