Position Overview Senior Automation & Controls Engineer – Alpharetta, GA. We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced automation systems. In this role you will spearhead complex projects, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across innovative manufacturing and automation solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Leverage Beckhoff & C# experience or Siemens expertise to develop custom control systems.
- Lead the creation and implementation of control systems to meet unique client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on automation projects ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.
- Collaborate directly with clients to transform operational needs into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain electrical and control systems under high-pressure conditions.
- Drive process innovation, standardization, and adoption of best practices.
- Travel domestically and internationally as project requirements dictate (~20%). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience with industrial PLC platforms and automation control systems.
- Hands-on expertise with major PLC and HMI platforms (e.g., Beckhoff & C# or Siemens).
- Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control designs. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience programming industrial robots and integrating machine vision systems.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
