FLS is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team in Monterrey, Mexico. If you're someone who loves precision, gets a kick out of a well-organized spreadsheet, and treats every deadline like it matters, this role could be a great fit.
Your work will center on making sure US and Canada payroll runs smoothly every month. In this role, you'll:
- Process monthly payroll for US & Canada payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness
- Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to collect, validate and submit payroll data
- Maintain accurate payroll records and support documentation for audits and compliance purposes
- Respond to employee questions related to payroll and payslips in a clear and professional manner
- Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations, including monthly variance analysis and internal reviews
- Monitor legislative changes and coordinate with external providers to ensure payroll remains compliant with local laws
- Adhere to our team's KPIs and SLAs
- Pitch in with process improvements – we love people who say “Hey, I think this could be done simpler.”
What you'll need to bring:
- 5+ years of experience working with US & Canada payroll is required
- Bi-weekly and weekly payroll processing is an advantage
- Exposure to a high transaction volume and multi-task work environment
- Experience working with global HRIS and payroll vendor systems, including Workday, Cloud. Pay, and ADP, is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written English communication skills are required
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to detect inconsistencies in data
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidential information when required by legal and ethical standards of professionalism to ensure privacy of employee records
