Overview
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of consolidated financial reporting for our multi-entity organization. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring financial statements are accurate and fully compliant with U.S. GAAP and IFRS. You'll collaborate across departments, support audits, and help strengthen internal controls—all while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment based in our Atlanta office. What you'll be doing
Financial Reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial statements—including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Stockholders' Equity, Statement of Cash Flows, and footnote disclosures—under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages and support the close by handling journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses.
- Help maintain consistency in accounting policies across all entities.
Consolidation & Integration
- Manage multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and balance reconciliations.
- Keep consolidation schedules and documentation up to date.
- Support integration-related accounting, such as purchase accounting entries, opening balance sheet alignment, and goodwill tracking.
- Assist in improving our consolidation tools and ERP reporting processes.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Document and test controls over financial reporting, particularly for consolidation and journal entries.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor questions.
- Ensure adherence to technical accounting standards and company policies.
Collaboration & Projects
- Partner with corporate departments to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
- Contribute to system upgrades, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Help implement and document accounting policy updates.
What we're looking for
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Experience: At least 2+ years of relevant experience. A CPA (or active pursuit) is preferred. Experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools is a plus.
- Skills: Strong Excel skills are essential. Knowledge of construction industry accounting and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) is preferred.
- Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
