A hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with 2–3+ years of engineering experience who thrives on improving safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing processes.

Design, develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and workflows while leading projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position working standard hours of 7:30 AM–4:30 PM.

Position Overview We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and enhance manufacturing processes that improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall operational performance. This position combines hands-on engineering, project management, process development, CAD design, cost analysis, equipment implementation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who can take projects from concept through implementation while collaborating effectively with production teams, technicians, maintenance personnel, vendors, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Design and improve manufacturing processes with a strong emphasis on operator safety.
• Evaluate product requirements and collaborate with equipment vendors to research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Develop robust manufacturing processes using mistake-proofing solutions to prevent quality issues.
• Establish testing methods, evaluate finished products, and develop standards that support product quality.
• Analyze workflows, space requirements, equipment layouts, and manufacturing processes to improve productivity.
• Calculate production, labor, and material costs while reviewing production schedules and forecasting future manufacturing requirements.
• Manage engineering projects for new programs and changes to existing processes, including schedules, budgets, designs, team coordination, and vendor procurement.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize manufacturing data and trends to prepare product and process reports.
• Support safety, productivity, and quality objectives through process optimization, continuous improvement, and Kaizen initiatives.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable government regulations and internal requirements.
• Partner with maintenance personnel to establish preventative maintenance programs for new equipment.
• Maintain accurate product and process databases, including programming and data entry where required.
• Develop tooling and fixture designs using CAD applications and maintain organized design records.
• Train technicians and other team members on newly implemented or revised manufacturing processes.
• Stay current with manufacturing technologies and industry developments through professional publications, workshops, networking, and continuing education.
• Support engineering and manufacturing team members as workload and capacity needs arise. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related manufacturing discipline.
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on engineering experience in a relevant manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, processes, and procedures.
• Experience with quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to manage complex projects and communicate technical information effectively.
• Leadership, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with CAD applications and related design tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Access, or SQL is preferred.
• Previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Master’s degree in a manufacturing-related engineering discipline is a plus. Physical & Working Requirements This position requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include extreme hot or cold conditions. The employee must be able to use hands to handle tools and controls, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The position also requires close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
