Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is a nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm with over 500 attorneys servicing clients in 40 offices and 22 states seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our Atlanta office. This position is responsible for a variety of HR tasks including employee life cycle tracking (onboarding, promoting, and offboarding), resume screening, employment verifications, interview coordination and scheduling, employee files, leave management and job postings management. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, learns quickly, and is highly organized. The position requires 1-3 years of prior Human Resources experience.   • Partner with various HR team members to support efforts in talent acquisition, learning & development, and general HR practices
  • Support the hiring process which includes assisting new hires throughout the onboarding process
  • Complete background and drug screen requests through a SaaS provider.
  • Assist new hires throughout the onboarding by ensuring all required paperwork is completed, and answering questions related to the HR/Payroll system, and any other inquiries related to the process
  • Ensure new hires complete their Form I-9’s, review documentation, and process through E-Verify
  • Assist the recruiting process by sourcing staff candidates through the Firm’s applicant tracking system
  • Conduct screening telephone calls, schedule interviews, and assist hiring managers as needed
  • Update firm’s intranet site as needed
  • Maintains a current inventory of job descriptions
  • Provide day to day customer service to employees by answering questions regarding HR related policies, procedures, and systems
  • Create and maintain employee personnel files within a digital filing system
  • Conduct audits on personnel files and I-9s to ensure compliance with state and federal laws/rules as well as data integrity
  • Supports special Firm and HR projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned Education, Experience, and Skills
  • A minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited university with an emphasis in business, human resources, or another related field
  • A human resources specific certification such as the aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of Human Resources Administrative experience preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Software to include Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Excel
  • Prior experience with UKG preferred
  • Flexible and autonomous, can work with little direction and takes initiative
  • Track record of accuracy and a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, trust, and integrity
  • Capable of working efficiently by prioritizing and streamlining tasks
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication with both Attorneys and Firm Management
