Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our construction project finances. As a key member of our management team, you will oversee all accounting functions, manage project budgets, and ensure compliance with construction regulations. Your expertise in construction management software and project scheduling will drive accurate cost management and project financial success. Duties
- Oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Manage project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and other project management software to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with project managers and teams to develop accurate construction estimates utilizing HeavyBid, Bluebeam, ProCore, and Civil 3D.
- Ensure compliance with construction regulations and safety standards across all sites while reviewing construction plans and contracts.
- Lead the development and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and financial efficiency.
- Supervise accounting staff and manage team workflows related to construction project accounting and reporting.
- Collaborate on blueprint reading, contract negotiations, and construction schedule coordination to support successful project delivery.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, change orders, and project documentation for audit readiness.
- Monitor construction site activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and safety protocols while managing project timelines effectively.
- Provide leadership in managing complex infrastructure projects from inception through completion, ensuring seamless project coordination. Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field with a strong background in managing complex infrastructure projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and project management software like ProCore or Bluebeam.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost management, budget development, and financial reporting within the commercial or heavy civil construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction regulations, safety standards, contracts, and blueprint reading.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams in a construction management role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for detailed analysis and reporting.
- Skilled in managing construction site activities with hands-on experience in construction scheduling and project coordination.
