Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our construction projects’ financial health. This pivotal role involves overseeing accounting functions, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with construction regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in construction management, project scheduling, and cost control, coupled with strong leadership skills to manage teams effectively. As a Controller, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategies that support our growth and operational excellence in complex infrastructure projects. Duties

Lead the development and management of project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and financial forecasting using construction estimating software and project management tools.
Oversee construction schedule coordination and project scheduling activities utilizing Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and other project scheduling software to ensure timely project delivery.
Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including cost management, contract administration, and construction budget oversight.
Supervise teams involved in construction management roles, providing guidance on construction regulatory compliance, safety standards, and best practices.
Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and contracts to ensure project scope aligns with budgetary constraints and regulatory requirements.
Monitor construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to facilitate effective project coordination, schedule updates, and progress reporting.
Utilize heavyBid, Civil 3D, ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other industry-specific software for project tracking, documentation, and reporting purposes.
Ensure accurate time management across projects by tracking labor hours, equipment usage, and material costs to optimize resource allocation.
Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to construction projects for audit readiness and transparency. Qualifications
Proven experience in construction management or as a Controller within the commercial or infrastructure construction sectors.
Strong proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; project scheduling tools including Primavera P6; Civil 3D; Bluebeam; ProCore; and Microsoft Office Suite.
Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, blueprint reading, contracts administration, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex infrastructure projects from inception through completion while maintaining budget control.
Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
Solid understanding of construction site operations combined with hands-on experience in construction scheduling and project coordination.
Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on time management and prioritization across multiple projects.
Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
