Paul Davis Restoration of NW Chicago Location: 4900 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL 60630 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM About the Role When disaster strikes, Paul Davis Restoration helps families and businesses recover from fire, water, mold, and storm damage. As a Bookkeeper/Administrative, you will play an important role in helping restore not only properties, but also peace of mind. You will be responsible for accurately tracking the financial activity of restoration projects, supporting healthy cash flow and job profitability, and ensuring accurate billing and clear financial documentation for customers, insurance partners, and our parent franchisor. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and supporting operations behind the scenes. What You'll Do
- Track and record job-related costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.
- Maintain job cost ledgers and reconcile costs against project budgets.
- Prepare accurate invoices for customers and insurance carriers.
- Reconcile vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications against project budgets.
- Monitor accounts receivable and support collection efforts.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and Paul Davis policies. What We're Looking For: Required Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- AR/AP Experience
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong understanding of financial documentation and reconciliation.
- Excellent data-entry accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication. Preferred Qualifications
- 2–3 years of accounting or job costing experience.
- Experience in construction, restoration, or insurance billing. Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States. Compensation & Benefits
- $45,000–$55,000 annual salary, based on experience.
