This is a confidential executive search. The organization has built a successful portfolio of businesses across technology, financial services, insurance, and commercial real estate and is actively pursuing an aggressive growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and international expansion. The CEO's long-term vision extends beyond operating companies. Over time, the organization intends to build its own private equity investment platform focused on acquiring, scaling, and creating long-term value across multiple industries. This is a rare opportunity to help build that vision from the ground floor. Position Overview Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will serve as the company's senior financial strategist and trusted business advisor. This is not a traditional accounting-focused CFO role. Instead, the successful candidate will lead enterprise financial strategy, evaluate acquisitions, oversee capital allocation, expand the company's captive insurance platform, and help build the financial infrastructure necessary to support long-term national and international growth. The company already has an established accounting leadership team, allowing the CFO to focus on strategic finance, investments, acquisitions, and enterprise value creation. Strategic Priorities The successful executive will play a leadership role in: Enterprise financial strategy Mergers & acquisitions Private equity-style investment analysis Captive insurance strategy Capital allocation Commercial real estate investments Banking and financing relationships International expansion Executive decision support Primary Responsibilities Enterprise Financial Leadership Serve as the CEO's strategic financial partner Develop long-term financial strategy Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning Build scalable financial infrastructure across multiple operating entities Develop executive reporting and KPI dashboards Mergers & Acquisitions Evaluate acquisition opportunities Perform financial due diligence Develop valuation models Structure transactions Lead post-acquisition integration Standardize acquisition and integration processes for future growth Captive Insurance One of the highest priorities for this search is identifying a finance executive with meaningful Captive Insurance experience. The CFO will be instrumental in: Evaluating acquisition opportunities Building investment models Performing portfolio analysis Assisting with capital deployment decisions Creating investment reporting infrastructure Supporting future private equity initiatives Financial Operations Optimize treasury and cash management Strengthen banking and lender relationships Improve enterprise reporting Evaluate financing alternatives Support international growth initiatives Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives Ideal Candidate The successful candidate combines sophisticated institutional finance experience with an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoys building businesses rather than simply managing financial statements. Required Qualifications CPA required Public Accounting foundation (Big Four or national firm preferred) 15+ years of progressive finance leadership Executive-level leadership experience Multi-entity organizational experience Outstanding communication and executive presence Highly Preferred Experience Candidates possessing the following experience will receive the strongest consideration: Private Equity Captive Insurance Mergers & Acquisitions Portfolio company leadership Investment analysis Commercial real estate Family office or diversified holding company experience International business operations Capital markets, treasury, and corporate finance Leadership Style The ideal executive is: Entrepreneurial Commercially minded Highly analytical Strategic rather than transactional Comfortable working alongside an ambitious founder Collaborative, decisive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced growth environment Compensation Base

Salary

$300,000–$350,000 Executive Performance Bonus Long-Term Incentive Opportunity Comprehensive Executive Benefits The Opportunity This is an opportunity to become the financial architect behind an organization entering a transformative stage of growth. The successful candidate will help shape acquisition strategy, expand the company's captive insurance platform, support international expansion, and play a foundational role in building what is intended to become a sophisticated private equity investment platform over the coming years. I actually think this version is substantially stronger. It removes any industry bias, keeps the search confidential, and positions the opportunity around what elite CFOs care
