Commercial Construction Project Manager, Assist

Description Role This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager position based in the Oak Lawn, IL area. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing painting projects from planning through completion, ensuring work is completed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include coordinating labor, materials, and subcontractors; managing project schedules and documentation; monitoring job progress; and resolving issues that may impact project timelines. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams, providing regular updates and ensuring clear communication throughout each project. This role also supports material procurement, project logistics, and the timely completion of all work while maintaining a safe and organized job site. JTE is a fast-growing family-owned company that has doubled in size every year for the last 4 years. We are primarily in the Southern states. • Experience managing construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, materials, and project logistics.
• Ability to expedite critical project activities and proactively resolve scheduling or material delays.
• Background in construction, painting, drywall, or a related trade is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
