About the Role We are looking for a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Hearings Department. This position is open to both licensed attorneys and recently graduated law students close to obtaining their licensure. You will play a crucial role in supporting clients through the Social Security Disability process by preparing them for hearings, advocating on their behalf before administrative law judges, and drafting appeals as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare clients for administrative hearings with professionalism and empathy
- Represent clients during Social Security Disability hearings
- Draft administrative appeals for the Appeals Council
- Evaluate prospective clients to assess their eligibility for representation
- Maintain accurate records and manage deadlines using the firm's case management system
Qualifications
- Active law license in Missouri or Kansas, or the ability to obtain one within one month of hire
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Exceptional organization and time management abilities
- Capacity to manage a high caseload with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience in Social Security Disability law or appellate work is beneficial but not required
- 1 to 3 years of legal experience preferred Compensation and
