IFG US is partnering with a well-established privately held manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Controller. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being involved in both strategic finance and day-to-day accounting operations. The company is seeking a finance leader who can grow into a senior executive role over the next few years. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, this individual will play a key role in supporting multiple legal entities while helping modernize financial processes and strengthen internal controls. What You'll Do
- Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple affiliated entities.
- Direct month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation and product costing while partnering closely with operations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and provide analysis of business performance and key variances.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and assist with rolling forecasts.
- Monitor profitability, margins, and manufacturing costs through regular reporting and analysis.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
- Evaluate capital investments and provide financial analysis to support operational decisions.
- Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Assist leadership with special projects and business initiatives as needed. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation is a plus.
- Ten or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- At least three years managing accounting personnel.
- Prior experience within a manufacturing environment, inventory accounting and standard or job costing is a plus.
- Experience overseeing accounting for multiple entities or business units.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks; experience with manufacturing ERP systems is beneficial.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a lean organization.
