Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Dealership Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our team. ***Must have Auto Dealership experience*** In this vital role, you will manage the dealership’s accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices while maintaining compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will support smooth financial operations and contribute to the dealership’s overall efficiency. Responsibilities
- Process and verify all accounts payable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, DealerBuilt, DealerTrack, Sage, or Workday.
- Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices in accordance with company policies
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly through effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records of all payments, journal entries, and account reconciliations for audit purposes.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing detailed reports and analysis of accounts payable data.
- Support payroll management tasks when applicable.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes related to accounts payable, data entry, and financial reporting. Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related accounting roles within an automotive dealership or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, Workday, or equivalent systems like PeopleSoft or Ceridian.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analysis skills and data entry accuracy (10 key typing).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy standards.
