About the Job: As a Senior Project Manager at Bayard Construction Group, you will lead the successful delivery of civil site development projects from preconstruction through closeout. Working closely with field leadership, preconstruction, and project support teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project budgets and schedules. This is a leadership role for an experienced construction professional who understands how to manage complex site development projects while supporting strong field execution. You will play a key role in coordinating teams, managing project performance, and maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with preconstruction during project startup to ensure projects are properly planned, scoped, and staffed
- Lead civil site development projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- Coordinate closely with superintendents and field teams to drive daily project execution, maintain schedules, and resolve operational challenges.
- Maintain ownership of project budgets, cost forecasting, change order management, and overall financial performance.
- Manage project communication with general contractors, developers, engineers, and project partners.
- Support the development of Bayard's project management capabilities by mentoring and helping build future project management capacity.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of project management experience in civil construction, site development, grading, utilities, or related infrastructure work
- Proven experience managing large site development projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Ability to manage multiple active projects while maintaining schedule and financial performance
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coordinate field operations and lead project teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills
- Expertise with Microsoft Office and project management software such as Builder Trend, Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam or an equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent industry experience preferred Why Join Bayard?
