Senior Tax Accountant (CPA) Ledgent Finance & Accounting is partnering with a rapidly growing public accounting firm seeking a Senior Tax Accountant (CPA) to join its expanding tax team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience preparing complex individual tax returns, extensive 1040 expertise, and a strong background in both individual and business taxation within a public accounting setting. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for:
- Individuals
- Partnerships
- S-Corporations
- C-Corporations
- Trusts and Estates
- Multi-state tax filings
- Provide advanced tax planning, tax research, and strategic consulting services to clients.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and assist clients with optimizing their tax positions.
- Review tax returns prepared by junior staff and provide mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
- Participate in client meetings and provide professional recommendations regarding tax matters. Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of tax preparation and tax planning experience in a public accounting environment.
- Strong and recent experience with complex individual tax returns and extensive 1040 preparation.
- Experience preparing both business and individual tax returns.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Ability to work onsite in Marietta four days per week. Preferred Qualifications
- International tax exposure.
