A confidential boutique employment law practice is seeking a senior-level employment litigation attorney (targeting 5 to 7 years) to support a management-side defense docket that is particularly litigation-focused, with meaningful trial preparation and courtroom participation. - Independently manage employment litigation matters, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings and trials, including trial preparation and in-court support.
- Respond to agency charges and handle related administrative proceedings.
- Conduct or support workplace investigations and provide clear findings and recommendations.
- Advise and counsel employer clients on employment law risk management and day-to-day workplace issues. LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION Location: Atlanta, Georgia Schedule: Hybrid flexibility with three days in office and two days remote
Compensation
$130,000 to $150,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of employment law experience, preferably representing employers and management.
- Strong litigation background with demonstrated interest in litigation and trial work.
- Experience handling employment-related disputes with increasing autonomy, including managing deadlines and driving case strategy.
- Ability and willingness to participate in trials.
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
- Active Georgia bar admission in good standing.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Stable employment history and the professional maturity to thrive in a collaborative team environment. PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- Management-side employment defense experience.
- First-chair trial experience, or significant second-chair trial experience with readiness to step into a first-chair role.
- Experience responding to agency charges and conducting workplace investigations.
- Government or agency employment law experience.
- A small portable book of business (not required).
- Strong writing samples demonstrating advocacy skills and experience mentoring or developing junior attorneys. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
