Staff Accountant

Are you an experienced Staff Accountant who can step into a role quickly and take full ownership of your work? Verstela is hiring a Temporary Staff Accountant to support our Corporate Team for approximately 60 to 90 days. This role is ideal for someone who is accurate, dependable, and comfortable managing journal entries, reconciliations, and the full-cycle close process.

This is a temporary, full-time assignment expected to last approximately 60 to 90 days. There is a potential for a longer-term assignment.

Temporary Staff Accountant Duties

• Prepare and post complete journal entries, taking ownership from preparation through final posting
• Complete account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Perform full-cycle month-end close responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
• Assist the Accounting team with financial reporting and accounting projects

Temporary Staff Accountant Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Two to four years of professional accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
• Experience independently preparing complete journal entries and account reconciliations
• Experience managing full-cycle month-end close responsibilities

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am

• 5:00pm

This position is fully onsite at Verstela’s Corporate Office in Bensenville.

Pay: $33.50 to $35.00 per hour
