Position Overview We are looking for an accomplished Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations while driving process improvements and supporting the continued growth of the organization. The ideal candidate is a polished accounting professional with both public and private accounting experience who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and building scalable financial processes. This individual will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and strengthen internal accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Supervise and mentor accounting staff while fostering professional development. Prepare and review account reconciliations and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Assist with external audits and coordinate with outside auditors. Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and workflows. Support special projects and other finance initiatives as the company continues to grow. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA designation is strongly preferred. Public accounting experience combined with private industry experience is highly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience; approximately 5–10 years is ideal. Demonstrated experience leading accounting functions and improving financial processes. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience working in multi-location or multi-site environments such as retail, manufacturing, staffing, distribution, or e-commerce is highly valued. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Desire to grow professionally with a long-term career opportunity.
