IT Director (Hands-On / CTO-Level Role)
We are seeking a hands-on IT Director to lead and support a growing organization’s technology environment. This role functions at a strategic level (similar to a CTO/CIO) while remaining highly tactical and involved in day-to-day execution. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the full IT environment, including infrastructure, systems, and integrations Lead and support a team of 4–5 IT professionals while remaining hands-on when needed Develop and execute IT roadmaps aligned with business objectives Partner with business leaders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into technical solutions Identify gaps between business goals and system capabilities and proactively recommend solutions Ensure systems (ERP, CRM, phone systems, etc.) are optimized and functioning effectively Troubleshoot infrastructure issues (networking, hardware, connectivity) as needed Support and maintain compliance (HIPAA environment preferred) Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders What we're looking for: Bachelor's in Information Systems or related field 10+ years of IT experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong background across infrastructure, systems, and application environments Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (highly important) Ability to operate both strategically and tactically (“roll up sleeves” mindset) Strong communication skills—ability to translate business needs into technical requirements Experience in smaller or mid-sized company environments preferred Healthcare industry strongly preferred Compensation Base
~$165K–$185K Bonus: 10–15% Total
