<p><strong><u>Traveling HVAC Commissioning Technician</u></strong></p><p></p><p>Position Overview</p><p></p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Traveling HVAC Commissioning Technician</strong> to perform <strong>startup, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC systems</strong> on new construction and retrofit projects.</p><p></p><p>This role focuses primarily on <strong>commercial rooftop packaged systems (RTUs)</strong> and occasionally <strong>split systems</strong>, ensuring equipment is installed correctly, operates according to manufacturer specifications, and performs efficiently before final turnover to the customer.</p><p></p><p>Technicians typically work <strong>approximately 55 hours per week</strong>, providing strong earning potential through consistent overtime opportunities.</p><p></p><p>You will collaborate closely with <strong>project managers, mechanical contractors, and controls teams</strong> to verify system operation and resolve startup or performance issues.</p><p></p><p>The company provides <strong>a service vehicle, tools, and manufacturer training opportunities</strong> to help technicians expand their expertise with commercial HVAC equipment.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p></p><p><strong>HVAC Commissioning & Startup</strong></p><ul><li>Perform startup and commissioning of <strong>commercial rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, gas/electric systems, and heat pump systems</strong></li><li>Verify proper <strong>installation, wiring, airflow, and refrigerant charge</strong></li><li>Ensure equipment operates according to <strong>manufacturer specifications and design requirements</strong></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>System Testing & Troubleshooting</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct <strong>functional performance testing</strong> of HVAC systems</li><li>Measure <strong>airflow, temperature differentials, static pressure, and electrical performance</strong></li><li>Diagnose and resolve <strong>electrical, refrigeration, and airflow-related issues</strong> during startup</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Controls & System Verification</strong></p><ul><li>Confirm operation of <strong>economizers, dampers, sensors, and system controls</strong></li><li>Work with <strong>controls technicians and BAS teams</strong> to verify proper system integration</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Documentation</strong></p><ul><li>Complete <strong>commissioning reports, startup documentation, and system checklists</strong></li><li>Record system performance data and testing results</li><li>Communicate installation issues or deficiencies to project teams</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li><strong>Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC experience</strong></li><li>OR</li><li><strong>Experience performing HVAC commissioning or commercial service work</strong></li></ul><p></p><p>Additional
