This position is designed to remove those obstacles and make construction a reliable, scalable operation. You'll be in the field ensuring builds progress. Managing contractors. Holding teams to deadlines. Resolving sequencing conflicts before they cascade into delays. You'll also leverage AI and digital platforms to cut manual overhead, increase transparency, and speed up delivery. This isn't observational project management. You're the one who intervenes when schedules drift and restores momentum. What You Will Be Doing
- Manage on-site construction coordination, collaborating directly with contractors to ensure work proceeds in the correct order and meets schedule commitments
- Take ownership of project schedules, monitor key milestones, spot emerging risks, and implement corrective measures when delays threaten progress
- Leverage platforms such as Procore, Asana, or MS Project to organize tasks, maintain documentation, and monitor status across ongoing projects
- Facilitate permitting processes by monitoring submissions, addressing reviewer feedback, and coordinating with relevant parties to advance approvals
- Deploy AI tools to streamline planning, recordkeeping, and decision processes, minimizing manual tasks and increasing execution velocity What You Won’t Be Doing
- Monitoring dashboards passively without stepping in when schedules begin to slip
- Overseeing projects solely from a distance without grasping field conditions and sequencing dependencies
- Using outdated manual methods to monitor progress or interface with project teams
- Sidestepping tough discussions with contractors or stakeholders when deadlines are threatened
- Delaying action until you have complete information to address emerging problems Construction Project Lead Key Responsibilities Ensure on-time delivery of school construction projects by actively directing on-site coordination, maintaining schedule discipline, and enhancing speed and reliability through digital tools and AI. Basic Requirements
- Hands-on experience delivering U.S. construction projects, including field coordination, contractor oversight, or schedule management
- Proven ability to own a project schedule, monitor milestones, enforce timelines, and recover when delays occur
- Working knowledge of a digital project-management platform such as Procore, Asana, or MS Project, with consistent task and document management
- Experience making trade-sequencing decisions in construction that directly influenced project timing
- Active participation in U.S. permitting processes, including preparation, review cycles, revisions, and coordination with permitting authorities
- Proven application of AI tools to speed up planning, analysis, documentation, or other tangible work activities, with verified results
- Effective problem-solving in uncertain construction scenarios and capability to foster collaborative relationships with contractors, suppliers, and external partners
- Receptiveness to candid feedback and quick adjustment
- Availability and willingness to be on-site a minimum of three days weekly and travel roughly 60% of the time throughout the United States as projects require
