Regional Project Manager Atlanta, GA | Regional Leadership Role | Leading General Contractor We are working with one of America’s oldest and most established general contractors on a Regional Project Manager position based in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a key regional role supporting a major construction business unit and reporting to the Director of Project Controls. The person joining will work closely with project teams and regional leadership to improve visibility around cost, forecasting, systems, change management, risk, financial performance, and overall project delivery. This is not a traditional project management role focused on the day-to-day delivery of one individual project. It is a broader regional position supporting multiple project teams, strengthening operational processes, improving project performance, and helping drive accountability and consistency across the region. The company is looking for someone who understands construction operations, can speak the language of project teams, and is comfortable partnering with both field teams and senior leadership. The Role The Regional Project Manager will support multiple projects across the Atlanta region and wider Southeast business unit. The immediate portfolio includes a major football stadium, healthcare, and complex commercial construction projects, with further large-scale work already coming through the pipeline. The role will involve:
- Supporting project teams across the region with cost management, forecasting, reporting, change management, and overall project performance
- Working closely with Project Directors, Operations Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and executive leadership
- Driving consistency across project delivery standards, systems, and processes
- Training and supporting operations teams in the use of company systems and project management processes
- Supporting GMP strategy, job cost budgets, financial reviews, and project execution planning
- Monitoring project KPIs and helping teams take action to improve performance
- Leading regional project performance reviews
- Supporting best practices around value management, change management, purchasing, subcontractor prequalification, awards, and recommendations
- Helping project teams improve forecasting accuracy, cost visibility, and commercial awareness
- Supporting the rollout and continued improvement of project management and project controls systems
- Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across multiple projects
